Therese Marie Picher Muldoon age 93, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, in North Andover, MA. Born on October 7, 1931, in Winooski, VT, Terri lived a full and vibrant life that spanned many places and touched countless hearts. She spent most of her adult life in Canton, Sharon, Braintree, and Needham, MA, before retiring to Naples, FL. Last year she moved to Andover, MA to be close to her children.
Therese graduated from Rivier College in Nashua, NH. Afterward, she moved to Washington, DC, where she met her first husband, Eugene J. Hunt, who was serving in the Presidential Honor Guard of the U.S. Army. Together they had six children and built a life in Massachusetts. Though their marriage ended, they remained in touch for many years. In 1984, Therese met Leo Muldoon, whom she married on her birthday in 1989. They shared many happy years together between Needham and Naples until Leo’s passing in 2009.
Therese is survived by her children: Eugene Hunt (Jr.) and his wife Teddie of North Andover, MA; Mark Hunt and his wife Lilia of Naples, FL; Suzanne Hunt of Boulder, CO; Paul Hunt and his wife Pat Red of Cape Elizabeth, ME; James Hunt and his wife Fuller of Calabash, NC; and John Hunt of Brookline, MA; and a stepdaughter, Kris (Muldoon) Coffey of Natick, MA. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Leo Muldoon; her brothers Robert and Paul Picher of Winooski, VT; and her sisters Sr. Claire and Sr. Jeanne Picher of St-Hyacinthe, Quebec, and Madeleine Carpenter of Burlington, VT.
Therese will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, resilience, love of music and the Red Sox, and deep Catholic faith that guided her throughout her life.
A remembrance service will be held on Saturday, February 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., Needham, MA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in Therese’s memory.
