Charles William Sapochetti, Jr. passed away supported by the love of his family at his Medford home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. He was 76. Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Nivani) Sapochetti.

Charlie earned his bachelor's degree from Lowell Tech. He later embarked on a successful career as an accountant. Once married to Dolores, the couple made their home in Medford. A hard working and conscientious man, Charlie and his partners developed a respected accounting firm with an extensive client base at their Davis Sq. office. Even though work was important to him, Charlie's primary focus in life was his family. Early on, he and Dolores traveled abroad and visited relatives in Italy. Once Stephanie came along, vacations focused on annual trips to Disney World with family and friends. Charlie's greatest joy was time with his family and especially his grandchildren. In addition to going to Disney, Charlie and his family enjoyed cruises and time on Cape Cod, Lake George and the White Mountains.

The beloved husband for 50 years of Dolores A. (Matarazzo) Sapochetti, Charlie was a devoted and proud father to Stephanie D'Elia of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to Elena and David. He was a dear brother to Alfred and John Sapochetti and the late Linda Sapochetti and Donna Marciello. Charlie also leaves his brother-in-law Anthony Matarazzo and his wife Karen.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Thursday, January 23 from 9 -11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
