Obituary

Paul Joseph Lajoie, 71, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, at High Point Hospice in Haverhill, MA. He was born on April 26, 1953 in Haverhill, MA, the youngest of three sons to the late Robert and Eileen (Winter) Lajoie.

He retired in June of 2011. Over the years he worked as a CNA, papermill worker and maintenance engineer at numerous nursing homes, along with other jobs.

Paul could fix ANYTHING. He found joy woodworking and designing and creating jewelry, setting up at many craft fairs over the years. In fact, it was at a craft fair in 2005 that he met his wife. They married on 7-7-7, which was considered by some to be the luckiest day of the century. Carlene, indeed, hit the jackpot finding Paul’s love.

He enjoyed dancing, playing cards and bingo, making trips to Encore casino, attending events at the Londonderry Senior Center, traveling to the mountains and beaches. He loved cruising to Bermuda, and his trips to Italy, Sicily, Arizona, Florida, and Myrtle Beach.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Carlene (Noe) Lajoie of Londonderry; son, Sean Lajoie and wife Sally of Wilmington, DE; daughter, Jennifer Cook and husband Eddie of Atkinson, NH; his granddaughter, Kiren Cook; stepson, Andrew Sumner. He also leaves behind numerous relatives including several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
He is predeceased by his brothers, Lawrence and Roland Lajoie
