Carol A. Tomaswick, 81, of Londonderry, NH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 19, 1943 in New York City, the daughter of the late Harold Applegate and Anne O. Young and she was raised by her mother and her step-father, Andrew W. Bub in Lindenhurst, NY.
She was married to her husband, Jim Tomaswick for over 59 years. After they left the military service, the family decided to put down their roots in Londonderry in 1970.
Carol enjoyed working at the Londonderry school library where she worked and volunteered for many years. She also volunteered with town elections where she was known for her vibrant personality and the patriotic pins she wore. Later in life she was proud to become a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Above all, she cherished her family and enjoyed spoiling loved ones. She loved and doted on her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. She never missed concerts, games, birthdays, or any reason to make someone feel special. This included her pets who enjoyed being equally spoiled by her.
She is survived by her husband, Jim and their son Jamey and his wife Cindy. Two grandchildren, Ashley and her husband Cory Williams, and Jimmy and his wife Colleen Tomaswick. She leaves her 3 great granddaughters MacKenzie, Olivia and Ellie. Also surviving are her brother Andrew and his wife Connie Bub, her sister Janet (Bub) Gilbert, her brother-in-law Joe and his wife Betsy Tomaswick and several adored nieces and nephews.
