Carol M. (Eaton) Fisk, 85, of Dunbarton, NH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH. She was born on September 26, 1939 in Portland, ME, a daughter of the late George Rupert and Ernestine Gertrude (McKenney) Eaton. Carol was raised on Peaks Island before moving to Londonderry, then Derry and eventually spending the last 34 years in Dunbarton.
Carol was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, Class of 1957 and NH College in Manchester, Valedictorian of the Class of 1963. She was employed as the Office Manager for Neurology Associates of Southern NH until her retirement. Carol was the Past Mother advisor for the Salem Assembly #26 International Order of the Rainbow and a former member of the Amoskeag Quilters Guild in Manchester.
Carol was an infamous storyteller. She will be remembered as always having a lively spirit. Carol loved to quilt, garden, sew and was an avid cat lover. She enjoyed returning to her beloved Peaks Island any chance she got. Most of all, Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, George W. Fisk of Dunbarton, one son, Randall N. Chase and wife Candy of Derry, one daughter, Courtney Shelby and husband Jim of Pembroke, NH; three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, her sister, Thelma Furr of Hillsboro, IN, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her son Brian R. Chase in 1971, a sister, Dorothy Paradis, and her brother Donald Eaton.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 19th from 9 - 11am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Road, Derry, NH.
