Obituary

Cheryl Ann Cronin, 71, of Derry, NH, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024, in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 7, 1953 in Weymouth, MA, a daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Desmond) Lennon.

After graduating from Weymouth High School, Cheryl served in the Marines before meeting her husband Bob and moving to Abington, MA to raise their family. She was very active in her children’s lives, frequently found at PTA and Booster Club events, popcorn mornings, and cheering on her children at their various sports and events. She found her calling later in her working years as a computer lab manager teaching adult education and high school students at the South Shore Vocational Technical High School. Always an avid crafter, Cheryl’s true passion was quilting. She spent many happy years traveling across the country to quilting retreats and could be found in her quilting room working on her latest project. Her love for her family continued as her grandchildren were born. Ask her a question about any of her grandchildren and her face would light up, she stayed active in their lives and was so proud of them. Many days she could be found watching live streamed games sharing in their excitement. She looked forward to and loved receiving handwritten notes and cards mailed to her by her grandchildren in Texas. In her downtime she enjoyed the antics of her and Bob’s three Shih Tzus, Patches, Molly and Brandi and the Red Sox season.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Cronin; son, Robert Cronin, Jr. and wife Holly of Arlington, TX; two daughters, Tracey Bolduc and husband Noel of Hooksett, NH, and Kerri Lyn Philbrook and husband Jason of Derry, NH; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica and Sarah Bolduc, and Abigail, James, Miles, Celia Grace, Heidi and Isabelle Cronin; four brothers, Richard Lennon, Philip Lennon, William Lennon, and Sean Lennon; two sisters, Theresa Powers, and Kathleen Lennon, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, services will be held privately at a later date by the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Rockingham Nutrition & Meals on Wheels, https://rockinghammealsonwheels.org/donate/
