Nies, Palma J. (Forte) of Dedham, passed away peacefully after loosing her battle with Alzheimers. She was surrounded by her family. November 9, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Forrest E. Nies. Loving mother of Debra A. Coady and her late husband Wayne A. of Attleboro. Grandmother of Danielle Sigman and her husband Eric of Attleboro and Craig Coady and his wife Stacie of Attleboro. Great-grandmother of Abigail Sigman. Sister of Rose Forte of North Kingstown, RI and the late Lucy Paradiseo, John, Peter and Joseph Forte.
Palma (Pam) grew up in Newton and met the love of her life in 1953. Palma and Forrest married in 1955 and spent 65+ wonderful years together. They had one daughter. As a family they spent most spring and summer weekends on Cape Cod in their Camper/ Beach Buggy. Over the years, they made many friends within the Massachusetts Beach Buggy association. They created beautiful memories together. Palma retired early from her book keeping career and loved being a homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking. Her Italian cookies had become a Christmas tradition enjoyed by all. Palma was incredibly loved. We will miss her and her beautiful smile beyond words.
Visitation at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. Dedham on Thursday, November 14, from 6-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday, November 15, at 9:30am followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 10:30am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
