Lillian (Rainaldi) Tagliamonte of Wellesley, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on November 9, 2024, at the age of 93. Known for her boundless love, devotion, and talent, Lillian touched countless lives through her dedication to family, friends, and her many creative pursuits.
Lillian’s life was centered around her family. Her steadfast love and support for her husband, Paul, extended beyond their home and into their shared work at their cherished Paul Monte Music School - a true partner in every sense.
She was known not only as a loving mother to her children, Charlene and Paul, but as a devoted caregiver to her own mother and sister, for whom she provided unwavering support over many decades.
Her talents were as remarkable as her heart was kind. A skilled cook, Lillian’s Italian heritage came to life in her kitchen, where she lovingly crafted traditional dishes inspired by her family’s roots in Abruzzi and her husband’s in Gaeta, Italy. Many will fondly remember the late-night gatherings, where she always seemed to have just the right treats at hand—pizza, pasta, and a variety of delicious meals that became a tradition among her family and children’s friends.
The friends of her children, many of whom still visit 50 years later, often reminisced about her kindness and hospitality.
Lillian was an accomplished accordionist and instructed and performed to the delight of many. She also found expression in her art; she was a gifted painter and sketch artist whose works held the warmth and grace she radiated in life.
As a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Lillian was truly remarkable. Her children, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren felt the deep, caring presence that only she could provide, and each carries forward her legacy of love and compassion.
Lillian leaves behind her daughter, Charlene, and son-in-law Robert Guigli; her son, Paul, and daughter-in-law Jill Tagliamonte. She will be remembered with love by her grandchildren: Matthew Guigli and his wife Caitlin, Michael Guigli and his husband William Devan MD, Danielle Feroli and her husband Greg, Marina Guigli, Paul R. Tagliamonte and his wife Becca James, and Jacqueline Riordan and her husband Sean.
Lillian’s love, joy, and warmth will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in peace.
