Payser, Laura (Ayala), of Rockland, formerly of Roslindale, South Boston, & Scituate passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2024.
Laura was born on June 7, 1948 to Lazaro and Mary Louise "Weezie" Ayala. Upon graduating from Scituate High in 1966, Laura moved to South Boston where she met Richard, the love of her life, and was married for almost 50 years. Laura was a daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, godmother, sister-in-law, grandmother, and above all else friend to many. She was predeceased by her husband Richard, her son Scott, and is survived by her daughter Maryellen Lennon-Arms & husband Matthew Arms of Norwood, and her grandsons Bobby and Matthew Lennon.
Laura is also survived by her siblings Tina Stephenson of Pembroke, Bobby Ayala of Scituate, John Ayala & wife Joanne of Wareham, and Stephen & Cheryl Ayala of Florida, the late Lazaro Ayala Jr. and Barbara of Nevada, the late Alice Mullen and Marty of Weymouth, and the late Agnes Harrington of Boston.
She loved with all her heart her godsons, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and friends. We are forever indebted to Kathie Nee and Leah Harrington for their kindness, dedication, and friendship to Laura.
Visiting hours 12pm – 2pm Casper Funeral Home, South Boston, Sunday November 17, 2024 followed by a Celebration of Life at The Elks in West Quincy 3pm-6-pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude or New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV).
