Dianne (Rodgers) Torres was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Donald and Forestine Rodgers on October 14, 1955. She gained her wings and joined the Heavenly Father Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
Dianne grew up in Portland, Oregon graduating from Parkrose High School in 1972. After high school, she jumped into the work force, married Jim McCall, and moved to Prosser, Washington where she lived the majority of her life. She and Jim had three children together.
Dianne started her banking career at Peoples Bank in Prosser where she became a well-known banking face for the community during the next four decades. She worked her way up into branch management, retiring her career with Banner Bank in Prosser in 2016. Dianne was loved by many and known for her sense of humor, caring heart, and desire to support the community. She served in several organizations playing a pivotal role in groups such as Prosser and Grandview Rotary, Prosser and Grandview Chamber of Commerce, United Good Neighbor (UGN), United Way, Prosser Economic Development Association (PEDA), Historic Downtown Prosser Association, Junior Achievement, and several more. Her dedication to the Community gained her several awards: “2002 Pinnacle Annual Award,” 2004/2008/2014 “Volunteer of the Year”, “2006 Paul Harris Award,” “2007 Service Above Self Award,” “2008 Distinguished Service Award,” “2011-2012 Outstanding Leadership Award (Rotary),” “2013 Prosser’s Outstanding Lady of the Year,” “2014 Rotarian of the Year,” and “2017-2018 Governor’s Award,” just to name a few. Her service and love for the community and its people did not go unnoticed.
In 1991, Dianne married her soulmate, Sal Torres. Together they built and lived their dream here in Prosser with family and friends for 32 years until Sal’s death in 2023. Family was most important to Dianne. She loved spending time with her sister, daughters, and grandkids, deeply involved in their activities.
Dianne is survived by her daughters Tina (Eric) Nelson and Jenni (Kevin) McClure; step-daughter Angela (Nathan) Rounsley; grandchildren Nikayla McClure, JJ Reyes, Kory McClure, Koby McClure; step-grandchildren Ashtyn Nelson, Parker Nelson and Ty Rounsley ; sister Susan Rodgers, and brother David (Mary Ellen) Rodgers.
Dianne was preceded in death by her spouse Sal Torres; son Christopher McCall; parents Donald and Forestine Rodgers, and brother Marty Rodgers.
