Jill Ellen Sampson passed away peacefully October 22, 2024. She was born October 25, 1941 in Yakima, WA. She was preceded in death by her father William Harley McDaniel, mother Janice Carlson-Colyar, and son William Lance Sampson. She leaves behind her brother Jay, 4 children Jeff, Melanie, Gregg, and Natalie, 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Jill spent the majority of her time growing up in Yakima, Grandview, and Prosser where she enjoyed riding horses with her cousins. She always had great love for horses, especially her horse Chico. Listening to Elvis Presley and watching old westerns were some of her favorite things to do. She always enjoyed being with family throughout her life and made many friends along the way. She loved being a mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister.
She graduated from Eisenhower High School in Yakima. Her former husband was Richard Doss. She was widowed by Will Sampson.
She had a long career at Seneca/Tree Top and retired in 2018.
