Helene L. (Labbe) Piquette

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Helene L. (Labbé) Piquette, 68, of West Springfield and a longtime resident of Feeding Hills, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, October 31, 2024. She passed into Eternal Life at Care One at Northampton surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family after a courageous battle with Multiple System Atrophy. She was born in Sherbrooke, Province of Quebec, Canada on September 6, 1956, a beloved daughter of the late Conrad Labbé Sr. and Yolande (Carriere) Labbé. She lived her early years in Canada and moved to the Forest Park section of Springfield in 1963, graduated from Springfield Technical High School. She furthered her education and received her Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science from Springfield Technical Community College. She moved to Feeding Hills in 1986 and moved to West Springfield in 2022 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was an International Marketing Specialist for Smith & Wesson Corporation in Springfield. She later was a Contract Coordinator for United Technologies, in Windsor Locks, CT and retired in 2016. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, watching game shows and trying her luck at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Paul R. Piquette. They were married in Chicopee on March 1, 1986 and were blessed with over 38 years of happiness together. She also leaves her four loving and devoted children, Daniel P. Piquette and his wife, Edna, of Agawam, LTJG Timothy R. Piquette United States Coast Guard and his wife, Olga, stationed in Honolulu, HI, Brian D. Piquette and his wife, Thea, of Stephens City, VA, and Eric W. Piquette of Williamsburg, VA; her cherished granddaughter, Grace Ann Piquette; her two dear sisters, Diane Labbé of Ware and Pierrette Parks and her husband, Rick, of Indian Orchard; her four dear sisters-in-law, Darlene Crosby and her husband, Bobby, of Richlands, NC, Lisa Syniec and her husband, Robert, and Michele Dunphy and her husband, Robert, all of Chicopee, and Kristen Piquette of Pompton Lakes, NJ; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her seven dear siblings, Pauline Spaulding and her husband, Arlington, Paulette Labbé, Michael Labbé, Denis Labbé and his wife, Sharon, Fernand Labbé, Conrad Labbé Jr., and Lucille Blanchard and her husband, Arthur. Her services will be held in the Spring of 2025. The St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 is assisting the family.
