Obituary

LEDYARD: Winfield Scott Robbins “Win”, 73, of Ledyard passed away surrounded by family on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Harbor Village Nursing Home.
Born October 4, 1951 at Backus Hospital in Norwich, he is the beloved son of Goldie Ada Willcox and Harold Avery Robbins.
He is predeceased by his mother, Goldie, his father, Harold, brother Harold “Butch”, brother Johnnie, brother Rupert , his son Winfield “Scotty”, and his exwife Margaret “Peggy”.
He leaves behind his sisters Goldie (Myles) McNierney, Bernardine (Briane) Bennet, Vickie (Jack, deceased) Van Horn, Cathy (Tom, deceased) Britagna, Debbie (Alan) Lee, Tina (Ron) Lee and brothers Freddie Robbins (Sheryl) and Rickie Robbins, his exwife Penny and Robin Wagner, his girlfriend. He also leaves behind a granddaughter, Kaitlyn and many nieces and nephews.
Win enjoyed gardening, spending time outside and spending time with his dogs. He worked for the Laborers Union for over 30 years. You would always find him with a bag of candy in his pocket.
He will be dearly missed by all.
A Graveside Service will be held at Main Peckham Brown Cemetery, Ledyard, on Sunday, November 10, at 10:00am. A celebration of life will follow at the Mystic VFW, Route 1, at 12:00 Noon.
