Jesus "Jesse" Ontiveros, born January 27, 1948, passed away on October 13, 2024, in Ventura, California. A lifelong resident of Oxnard, Jesse was known for his resilience, compassion, and dedication to serving others, particularly those facing the challenges of addiction. He dedicated the last 40 years of his life to Jesus Christ, finding strength and purpose in his faith, which guided his work and relationships.
The beloved son of the late Manuel Sepulveda Ontiveros and Rosa Moreno Ontiveros, Jesse was a devoted father to six children: Carlos, Evenette, Jesus Jr. (deceased), Faith, Armando, and Josiah, with whom he shared a complex but lasting connection. Jesse found great joy in his eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, whose lives he cherished and whose happiness brought him immense pride.
In his later years, Jesse devoted himself to helping others struggling with drug addiction, guiding them with empathy and insight born of experience. His commitment to supporting those in need left a profound impact on many lives and became a vital part of his legacy. Known for his steady presence and willingness to lend a hand, Jesse’s compassion for others will be remembered by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours to be held on Thursday morning November 7, 2024, from 9:00am to 11:00 a.m. in the BOYKO & REARDON TELEGRAPH ROAD MORTUARY & CREMATION, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura, where funeral services will follow in the mortuary chapel at 11:00am. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring and remembering a remarkable man who gave much of himself to others.
