CAPLAN-MASON, Nicole Anne, 38, of North Attleborough, MA, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024, surrounded by family.
Nicole is survived by her husband, Timothy Mason of North Attleborough, MA; her parents, Michael Caplan and Sylvia Chin-Caplan, of Dedham, MA; her sister and brother-in-law, Sara Caplan and Gerad Freeman, of Seattle, WA; her loving in-laws Harold and Margaret Mason and Sarah Mason, of Medford, MA; her aunts Eliza Lee, of Newton, MA; Irene Chin, of Smithfield RI; Melvin Fitzgerald, of North Providence, RI; her uncle, Humphrey Chin of Newton, MA; and many loving cousins and friends. Nicole will be reunited and welcomed with open arms by her grandfather, James Chin, her grandmother, Wong Boi Wan, and her aunt, Dorothy Chin.
Nicole was raised in Dedham, MA. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin and Marshall College (2008) and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School (2013). While attending law school, Nicole served as a student attorney in the Juvenile Defender Clinic where she aided indigent minors facing criminal charges in Boston Juvenile Court. Nicole was a talented and conscientious attorney who practiced law alongside her mother and husband.
Nicole was also a devoted dog mom to her Old English Sheepdog, Winston; an avid New England Patriots fan; and a lover of food, wine, and coffee.
Nicole leaves a legacy of many warm and happy memories for all who knew and loved her. Her smile, laughter, and holiday baking will be sorely missed.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Monday, Oct. 21 from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Newton Cemetery, Newton Center.
