Known for never arriving empty-handed, Louise brought joy to every family gathering with her unique and thoughtful gifts. Her enthusiasm for family reunions, Christmas, and 4th of July celebrations was infectious, making every event memorable with something funny and great sense of humor.

Louise was a lifelong Red Sox fan and sports enthusiast. Louise enjoyed shopping for others, and took time to write contemplative letters to those she cared about. Her home was adorned with little trinkets that reminded her of the people and places she cherished. She is also remembered for her enthusiasm for meticulously cleaning and maintaining her car.

Louise is survived by her brother, Newell Bearse; sister-in-law, Marcia Bearse; nephew, Ron Bearse and his sons, Christian and Miles; niece, Sherry (Bearse) Winnie, her husband Gary Winnie, and her sons, Frank Smecker and Joe Smecker, great nephews, and Alden and Kit Smecker, great-great nephews; niece Michelle (Bearse) Sullivan, her husband Lance Sullivan, and their children, Zachary Sullivan, great nephew, and Brittany (Sullivan) Dick, great niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norma (Crandon) Bearse and Nelson Bearse, as well as sisters-in-law, Nancy (Woodman) Martin and Lorraine (Woodman) Tosti.

Louise was a graduate of Melrose High School, lived in Melrose, Massachusetts for 90 years, and had a profound impact on those around her through her personal life. Respecting her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor her memory and share the stories of how she touched many lives. The family expresses their gratitude to the staff at Pleasant Bay Nursing Home and Cape Cod Hospital and Hospice healthcare staff for their care and compassion.

Louise's legacy of kindness and love will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
