Joseph A. White, of Gilford, New Hampshire, passed away on october 12, 2024 at the age of 61.
Joseph was born on July 1,1963, in Boston Massachusetts to John J. Sr. and Anna M. (Greaney) White. Joe was raised alongside his siblings in Roslindale, Massachusetts. Joseph also known as Joey or Jojo, attended Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, MA. There he indulged in his love of sports and graduated with the class of 1982. He then continued his passion for football to play for St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. In 1995, Joe received his certification as a Master Plumber for Massachusetts. From there, Joe continued his love for athletics by training for and completing three Boston Marathons. The last marathon he ran was where he proposed to his wife, Darlene, at the finish line. Darlene and Joe went on to have two daughters Casey and Rachel. They built a life together in Walpole, Massachusetts where Joe had a successful career in the plumbers union. Joe's favorite part about being a father of two girls and a plumber was all of the shower drains he was so fortunate to unclog over the years. Joe was a devoted sports dad, girl dad, and dog dad to the family dog, Dusty. Joe retired from the Union and continued his career in various plumbing projects across the country ending up in New Hampshire. Joe’s passion for fishing, golfing, and being outdoors flourished here. He and his dog Dafny resided in Gilford where he participated in local comedy clubs, golf tournaments, and plenty of fishing. He especially enjoyed boat rides with friends in his new community. Born in the year of the classic rock revolution, Joe truly embodied the spirit of the 70’s. He could always be found listening to music, especially Queen or the Cranberries. If he wasn’t listening to music he was trying to win concert tickets from the radio station the music was playing on. Joe was never able to share the experience of Freddie Mercury with his daughters, but bringing them both to a Queen concert over the years was good enough for him, and even better for them. As he would say ‘Giddyup’. Joseph leaves behind his daughters, Casey and Rachel White, his wife Darlene (Gosse) White. His siblings, Michelle M. Smallcomb, John J. White Jr., Kevin T. White. Joseph also leaves behind his newest and most relished role of Grandpa to two-year-old Jaylen St. Louis, son of Casey White and Jeremy St. Louis. Joseph will be reunited with his father John J. White Sr., his mother, Anna M. (Greeney) White and his brother Daniel C. White. Family and friends are welcome to join in celebrating Joseph on Wednesday October 23, 2024 from 4-8 pm at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home.10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain. The family encourages nontraditional attire. Jerseys, funny t-shirts, and colors are welcome to celebrate Joseph's life. |
