Arcinda Gomes Resende (70) of Boston died September 23rd in the Boston Medical Center. She was the loving wife of Alberto DaSilva.
She was born in Campana, Fogo, Cabo Verde, the daughter of the late Adelino Gomes Resende and Martina Gomes Oliveira. Arcinda was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Boston and loved dancing to Talaia Baxo Music, playing cards, socializing with her family and friends, and was a great supporter of her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 sons, Betinho and Danilson Fernandes DaSilva both of Cabo Verde, and Jerry Fernandes of Boston, (mother of the late Jason Fernandes), 4 daughters, Lisa Fernandes of Brockton, Carlita Resende DaSilva of Brockton, Nuria Resende DaSilva of Braintree and Ludumila Resende DaSilva of Cabo Verde, 3 brothers, Domingo and Julio Gomes Resende both of Boston, and Francisco Gomes Resende of Cabo Verde, 20 sisters including Domingas Lopes Resende, many grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Sunday September 29th from 5-8 pm.
Funeral Services and Burial will take place in her home country of Cabo Verde.
