Obituary

We, the family of our wonderful father Bryant Thomas Anderson, are saddened to announce that he passed away in his home in Marstons Mills on August 29, 2024 at the age of 92 years. He was the son of Bryant William and Olivette (Nelson) Anderson of Quincy, MA. He was predeceased by his first wife Mary Jane (Bowers) Anderson, his second wife Karen (Johnson) Anderson and his siblings: Betty, Alice, Alan and Thomas. Bryant is survived by his brother Jerry (wife Helen) and his sisters-in-law, Sandra, Beatrice and Terra. He is also survived by his four children and their families:

Bryant and Teresa Anderson with their children and families: Derek and Amy Anderson (Brock and Dorothy), Mikaela Anderson, Shawn and (fiancée) Cindy, Mark and Kay Anthony (Vanessa)

Janice and Gerry Barry with their children and families: Kim Brennan (Kaden, Kole, Kollin), Kendra and Keenan Martin (Blake and Asher)

David and Ute Anderson with their child and family: Kristin and Edward Shuler (Malia and Eddie)

Daniel and Christine Anderson with their children and families: Philip and Ana Gee (William and John), Peter and Kiersten Rogers Gee (Ellsley)

Additionally, Bryant is survived by his stepchildren and their families: Kristin Friedlaender (Johnny, Cody, Michael and Jacoby) and James Kalweit (Timothy)

Bryant will also be remembered as a terrific uncle by all his surviving nephews and nieces from his two sisters and three brothers (Alan Jr, Sean, Joanne, Jerrilyn, Jackie, Jennifer, Theresa, Laura and Scott) and will be with nephew Andy who is already in Heaven.

Bryant was an engineer, architect, draftsman and teacher. He served in the Navy Reserves for six years. He enjoyed boating (sail and power), waterskiing, golf and goofing around with his family and friends. He really enjoyed farming in his younger days and often drove the tractor with one or more kids onboard. Bryant was always good for a laugh and was a prankster and a joker. We will miss his relaxed approach to life and his kindness as much as his love.

In addition to being a devoted husband, father, brother, friend, and more, he was a Christian man who designed and helped build the Nazarene Church in Lakeville. He had a lovely voice and was the song leader at the Central Baptist Church in Middleboro and the Nazarene Church in Lakeville. He also served as the Sunday School Superintendent at the Nazarene Church in Lakeville. He loved God and he helped his wife raise their children to know and love Jesus the Lord.

We will be celebrating his life and remembering him at 1pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Steeple Point Church on Church Street in Raynham, Massachusetts, with a church service followed by a meal and fellowship.
