CHICOPEE – Andrea F. “Ann” (Dandurand) Wolowicz, 77, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, August 26, 2024. She passed into Eternal Life at the JGS Lifecare in Longmeadow surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on June 14, 1947, a beloved daughter of the late Ellen C. (Franco) Dandurand. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was an office manager for many local department stores in the area. She enjoyed cooking and working in her gardens around her home. Most of all, she took great pride in her home and taking care of her family. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Edward S. Wolowicz, Sr. They were married on January 14, 1967 at the former Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee and they were blessed with over 57 years of happiness together. She also leaves her two loving and devoted sons, Edward S. “EJ” Wolowicz, Jr. and his wife, Sarah, of South Hadley, and John R. Wolowicz of Chicopee; her loving daughter, Paula J. Varesi of Chicopee; her five cherished grandchildren, Logan Wolowicz, Mason Wolowicz, Cheyenne Wolowicz, Amber Swanson and her husband, Brett, and Autumn Mercure; her four cherished great grandchildren; her dear sister, Sharon King and her husband, Roland “Skippy” King, of Westfield; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and extended members of the Wolowicz, Dandurand, and King families. Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 (funeral home will open at 10 a.m.) with a Prayer Service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Her Burial will follow the Prayer Service at Saint Michael Cemetery, 1601 State Street, Springfield, MA 01109. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
