Ronald Holmes (Ret. Lt. BFD) of West Roxbury, passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2024 at the age of 83. Beloved father of Rhonda Browning and her husband, Kevin, of Newport, RI; Donna Dominguez and her husband, Eddie, of Hull; Frank Holmes and his wife, Kirsten, of North Easton; and Ronnie Holmes and his wife, Lori, of Walpole. Devoted life partner of the late Lyn Calvi. Dear brother of Lorraine Holmes, Marilyn Robillard, and the late Claire Wood, and Virginia Holmes. Loving grandfather of Doug, Dan, and Frank Colwell; Drew, Chris, and Sunni Dominguez, Tommy, Michael, and Kevin O’Connor; Julia, Natalie, and Johanna Holmes; Tori and Tyler Holmes. Great grandfather of Brooke, Jaxon, Dougie, Eric, AJ, Ava, Noah, Rhett, Charley Mae, Annie, and Hayes. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ron was a lifelong resident of Boston, an Airforce Veteran, Retired Boston Firefighter, Auto Mechanic and Classic Car Enthusiast, Avid Saltwater Fisherman, Devoted Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and loyal friend to many. He was a man who lived his life always putting others before himself. He will be sadly missed by all.
