Filomena M. Silva, 63, of Palm Coast, FL, formerly of Derry, NH, passed away at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast. Filomena was born September 15, 1960 in Salreu, Portugal. She was a daughter of the late Manuel and Iracema (Assuncao) De Carvalho Dias. Filomena moved with her family to the United States when she was 4 years old and was raised and educated in Somerville, MA. She moved to Derry in 1985, relocating to Palm Coast in 2019.
Filomena has been employed with ADP payroll services for over 30 years as a retirement services specialist. She always enjoyed volunteering and was very involved with the local “Habitats for Humanity” in Florida and New Hampshire. She also enjoyed Horseback riding on the Florida Beaches.
Members of the family include her loving son Justin Silva, a sister, Linda Bettencourt, a niece, Ashley Bettencourt and nephew Blake Bettencourt.
Calling hours will be July 23, 2024, from 4 to 6:30 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium 15 Birch Street Derry. A catholic prayer service will follow at 6:30.
