Edward L. Reboul
6/8/2024

Edward "Ted" Linton Reboul, age 84, a 54-year resident of Winchester, passed away on June 8, 2024. He was the beloved husband for 61 years of Laura K. (Heath) Reboul and loving father of Kathryn Adele Reboul.
Born in New York City, Ted was raised in Manhattan and St. James, NY. He attended the Westminster School in Simsbury, CT and graduated from Harvard College with the class of 1962, majoring in Social Relations.
Ted was employed as a Bank Examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston for 39 years. In that job, he traveled throughout New England and the United States, London, Australia and the Philippines. After retirement he continued to enjoy traveling and exploring whether it was in Boston or much farther away. When traveling, he enjoyed connecting with family and old friends, exploring and learning.
Whether it was near or very far away, he was dedicated to showing up for family and attending family events. Throughout his life, Ted made lasting friendships in many places including work and his church. He could enjoy large gatherings but was often happiest in small gatherings or in one-on-one conversations.
He had a lifelong love of reading and learning and since retirement, he read a non-fiction book in the afternoon and a mystery novel in the evening. His particular interests were history, architecture and art which he expressed by traveling, reading and visiting museums.
His values of connecting and helping others were reflected in his actions. As a devoted member of the Parish of the Epiphany in Winchester for over 50 years, Ted was a member of the Men’s Group, had served on the Vestry and been a longtime member of the Property Committee. He volunteered for many years with Saturday’s Bread in Boston and Habitat for Humanity in Lawrence. Last year, he began serving meals at St. Luke’s Church in Chelsea.
In addition to his wife Laura and daughter Kathryn, Ted is survived by his brother John Whittemore Reboul and his wife Josee of NY, NY., nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a Visitation at Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Wednesday, June 19 from 5 to 7 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the Parish of the Epiphany, 70 Church St., Winchester, on Saturday, June 22 at 11 o'clock. Burial will be private.
