Janet E. (Stefanoni) Boyko of Hanover, formerly of Hull, passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Walter “Sonny” Boyko, Jr. Loving mother of Walter V. Boyko, III of Maine, Robert M. Boyko of Hanover and Tracey Waltz and her husband Kevin of Fairhaven. Dear grandmother of Jillian and Camden Waltz and Alec Boyko. Sister of the late John Stefanoni and Edward “Eddie” Stefanoni of Easton and his children Talia, Rianna and Brielle. Daughter of John and Mary Grace (Chimi) Stefanoni. Sister-in-law of the late Carol Stefanoni and Carole Landry. Great Aunt of Patrick and Therese Peters and Tessa and Peter Norton.
Janet worked at Talbot’s for over 20 years. Janet nannied for families in Cohasset who then became part of her close family. She was funny, loud, brash, and bold. Janet was witty, unafraid, extremely kind, and stubborn. She wasn’t afraid to be outspoken and you always knew where you stood with her. Every time you spoke with Janet, she would tell you all about her grandkids or share with you the latest gossip. Janet loved any breed of dogs, especially wire terriers. One of her favorite shows to watch was the Westminster Dog Show. Janet enjoyed her summers at Sandy or Nantasket Beach with friends collecting sea glass and shells. She had an amazing green thumb that could do wonders with plants. Janet also took great pleasure in spending time at the clubhouse with her girlfriends from Spring Meadow Lane. Janet was an original. A Funeral Mass will be held in Saint Pius X Catholic Church, 101 Wolcott Rd. , Milton on Saturday June 15 at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may visit with Janet’s family at the church from 10 am until 10:30 am prior to the Mass.
