Obituary

Ernest Mansi was born October 14th, 1944 in Beni Suef, Egypt to Tolba and Zahia Mansi. Growing up with his two older brothers, Ernie was a natural leader, gifted with ambition and drive to be the best at whatever he put his mind to. He excelled at math and problem-solving, and went on to study civil engineering, earning his degree from the university of Cairo.

He worked on many notable projects like the Aswan Dam before deciding to join his brothers in 1973 in America. In search of the American dream, and armed with only one hundred dollars in his pocket, he arrived in New York City with no contacts and the inability to speak English. Over time, he was able to get to California, reunite with his brothers, and build a successful real estate development firm.

He met the love of his life, Marilyn Meyer, at a singles group at Ventura Missionary church, and was soon married on Jan 10th, 1981. Their first child, Matthew, was born a year later, followed by their daughter Ruth a year after that.

Ernie's legacy will be remembered as a man of strong faith in Jesus Christ, devoted husband and father, and generous philanthropist in the kingdom of God.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marilyn; his son Matt and wife Rachel; daughter Ruth and husband Adam; grandchildren Vonn, Smith, Alexander, Layla; and brother Albert and wife Alice.
