My heart aches for you Zandra and all your family at the loss of Doc. He was such special, special man. He gave me something in life I never received anywhere else...he believed in me. So sorry to hear of Dr.Joe Walker's passing.He was my mothers Dr.and my Dr.and friend for many years.My sister also worked with Dr.Walker for many years.So my family was well known by Dr.Walker.He was a very caring man and will be missed greatly by his family and friends.My condolences to his family.

Zandra, Joey, Mary Ann, John, Ward, Words cannot express the hurt that is in my heart for your loss. Doc was more than a friend. He was family and mentor to everyone he touched. He will NEVER be forgotten because he has made such a mark in so many people's lives. Heaven has gain one of the most special angels there has ever been. I can only pray that at some point before I leave this world that I can leave the legacy and lasting affect on even one persons life that Doc left on thousands. What a sad loss for your family and the town! I was always taught during such a time, though sad, to make it a celebration of the person's life. Your father or friend's life definitely serves as one to celebrate. Find rest and peace in your family and friends. I am sure at this time everyone is putting forth their best foot but rest assured this burden does lighten though the heartache will still remain for awhile. Just as my father is now at peace with no sickness so is yours. Just think of the wonders in heaven they are experiencing and know it is all going to be okay.
