Lillian Mae Kennedy, 89, Clarksville, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Morris E. Lee officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Kennedy Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM Thursday and from 12 to 2 PM Friday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born August 9, 1921 in Todd County, KY, daughter of the late Edward Lewis Smith and Zilpah Maine Clardy Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Theo Kennedy, four brothers and four sisters. Her great-great-grandfather, Sam Smith, is the only Revolutionary War Veteran buried in Montgomery County. Survivors include two sons, Gary Kennedy, Clarksville; and Darrel Kennedy (Lacy), Memphis, TN; four grandchildren, Aaron Kennedy (Mirja), New York; Charles Kennedy, California; Brian Kennedy, Ohio; and Peter Kennedy, Memphis; and two great-grandchildren, Forest and Walker.
