Olive C. (Tripp) Leite, 80, of Westport died Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center in Fall River. Born in Westport, daughter of the late Arthur V. Tripp, Sr. and the late Agnes (Orcutt) Tripp, she had lived in Westport for most of her life. A graduate of Westport High School, Class of 1947, she was a manager at the former Gold Bond Stamp Store in New Bedford and she also worked at Fred & Anne’s Restaurant in Westport. Mrs. Leite was an accomplished sewer who also enjoyed knitting and gardening.
Survivors include a brother: Donald Tripp of Little Compton and many nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Arthur V. Tripp, Jr., Alexander Tripp, Virginia Towle, Norris Tripp and Gloria Vorwald.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be from 10 – 11 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
