Fall River - Bessie (Grinnell) Wilbur, 93, of Little Compton, RI passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Irving S. Wilbur.
Born in Smithfield, RI, daughter of the late Herbert A. and Lena G. (Gifford) Grinnell, she was a lifelong resident of Rhode Island. Prior to retirement she was a governess for a private family. Mrs. Wilbur was a member of the First Baptist (Old Stone) Church, Tiverton, RI.
Survivors include a son: Dana R. Wilbur of Little Compton and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
