Lakeville - Donald I. “Pete” Pierce, 94, of New Bedford passed away Wednesday, October 25, 3006 at Island Terrace Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was the husband of Ruth (Taber) Pierce.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Charles F. and Eliza (Tripp) Pierce, he was a lifelong resident of New Bedford. Prior to his retirement in 1978, he was an inspector for the former Continental Screw Company, New Bedford for 36 years.
Including his wife, he is survived by a son: Donald I. Pierce, Jr. of Reading, MA; a daughter: Suzanne Dixon of Rochester; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
At the request of the family, funeral arrangements will be private.
