Martha Marie (Dowd) Shalvatis, 96, of Franklin, MA formerly of Marlboro, New Jersey died April 27 at her daughter’s home where she had been living the past few years. She was the wife of the late Peter A. Shalvatis who died in 1991.
Born in Middletown, New Jersey, July 15,1927, the daughter of the late John and Martha (Knoetzsch) Dowd, Martha had spent most of her life in Marlboro, New Jersey.
Martha was the mother of 9…Lorraine Swislosky of NH, Matt Shalvatis of Ukraine, Mary Greene of Sparta, GA, Ginny Greenhalgh of Franklin, MA, Dan Shalvatis of Key Largo, FL, Greg Shalvatis of Scotia, NY, Nancy Tipnis of So. Orange, NJ, Janet Bender of New Monmouth, NJ and Louise DeSanto of Jackson, NJ. She is a grandmother of 16 and a great grandmother of 9.
Her funeral service will be held in NJ.
