Maria Da Luz Lima (86) of Brockton died April 24th at home under hospice care surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Carlos Baptista.
She was born in Praia, Santiago, Cabo Verde daughter of the late Casimiro Bartolomeu Lopes and Margarida Guidmar Lopes. Maria was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church and enjoyed cooking, dancing, watching television and socializing with family and friends.
Maria is survived by 4 sons, Jorge Baptista of Pennsylvania, Daniel Baptista of Brockton, Jose and Helio Baptista both of Cabo Verde, 5 daughters, Angela, Maria and Anicia Baptista all of Brockton, Rosy Baptista of Cabo Verde and Manuela Baptista of France, 2 sisters, Rosa Lopes and Isabel Lopes both of Cabo Verde, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services and Burial to be held the weekend of May 4th in Praia, Santiago, Cabo Verde. Funerarias Multi Culturel are assisting the family with travel arrangements.
