Obituary

GILFORD ---- Paul Raymond Larose, 76, of Cotton Hill Road, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the New Hampshire Veterans Home after a long battle with dementia.

Paul was born on August 26, 1947, in Laconia, NH, the son of the late Eli Larose and Lydia (Cyr) Larose.

Paul attended and graduated from Sacred Heart School and attended NH Community College where he received a Bachelors Degree.

Paul worked as a tool and die maker and machinist and retired from Eptam Plastics. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and attained the rank of Sergent. Paul was in bowling and golf leagues. He loved camping and spent much time at his camp surrounded by friends and family. He spent camping vacations in Maine and New Hampshire sitting around a campfire with family members.

Paul is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cheryl (Gray) Larose; daughter, Tara Larose; son Michael Larose; and grandson, Matthew Larose. He also is survived by his sister Pauline (Charles) Hill and Patricia (Robert) Ballantyne. Paul was very close to his many sister-in-law’s and brother-in-law’s, Laurel and Roy Amey of Pittsburg, NH, Lindsey and Ann Gray of Pittsburg, NH, Holly Gray and Mike Petersen, of Pittsburg, NH; Karen and David Placey, of Merrimack, NH; Pamela and Wayne Frizzell, of Colebrook, NH, Arnold and Lucie Gray of Pittsburg, NH, and Heather Gray and Charles Caron, of Pittsburg, NH; and several nieces and nephews that he enjoyed spending time with. He is predeceased by his parents.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 3:00pm-5:00pm in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Memorial Service will follow Calling Hours at 5:00pm.

Burial with military honors will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 9:00 am at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.

The family wishes to thank the family and employees at the NH Veterans Home for all of their assistance in this difficult time.
