Fall River – Archer Cameron Tripp, Jr., 94, of Westport died Thursday, November 17, 2005 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of 72 years to S. Della (Hitt) Tripp.
He was born in Westport, son of the late Archer C. and Ella M. (Manchester) Tripp, and was a lifelong resident of Westport. Prior to his retirement he was the owner/operator of Tripp’s Welding Service in Westport. Mr. Tripp was a life member of the Westport Fireman’s Association, Bristol County Ducks Unlimited and charter member of the Westport Historical Society. He was an avid sportsman.
Including his wife, he is survived by a son: Spencer C. Tripp and his wife Carol-ann of Dighton, MA; a daughter: Valerie Tripp-Gordon and her husband Robert of Seekonk, MA; 4 grandchildren: Kimberly T. Widdup, Shawn C. Tripp, Taber T. Hilton and Brie M. Gordon; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Samuel Tripp, Helen Cornell and Edith Law.
Funeral services will be private.
