Fall River – Wayne S. “Twizz” Marnik, 60, of Fairhaven passed away May 17, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Diane M. (Enos) Marnik.
Mr. Marnik was born in New Bedford, son of the late Jozef J. and Jeannette R. (Tripp) Marnik, and resided in Fairhaven most of his life. He was employed as a commercial fisherman, working on the vessel Seven Seas for 15 years before leaving due to illness. He was an avid Grateful Dead fan, enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, little league baseball but most of all, spending time with his grandson.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by their daughter: Heidi L. Campbell; his daughter: Kathryn Pletcher; their grandson: Ezra Campbell; 2 granddaughters: 1 great-grandson; his best friend: Mike Barboza; his close friend: Albert Adelino; 1 niece: Heather Newsham; 2 great nieces: Alura and Alondra; 1 nephew; and many other good friends.

Visiting hours on Monday, May 23, 2016, 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Kirby Funeral Home, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford.
Funeral at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. followed by interment in Acushnet Cemetery.
