Manuel “Manny” Cabral, 73, of Lake Wales, FL, passed away May 6, 2012. He was the husband of Rachel (Carpenter) Cabral.
Son of the late Joseph P. and Shirley (Tripp) Cabral, he had resided in Westport for 63 years before retiring to Florida. Manny served in the USAF and worked as a heavy equipment operator for 30 years. He was also a member of the Westport Volunteer Fire Department.
Manny is survived by 2 sons: Manuel, Jr. of Brookfield, CT and Steven of Boston, MA; 1 daughter: Debra Hasson of Somerset, MA; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers: Joseph, John, David and Billy; sisters: Virginia, Lydia and Sharon and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside ceremony to which relatives and friends are invited will be held at Beech Grove Cemetery in Westport at 12:00 P.M. on June 23, 2012.
