Obituary

Mrs. M. Evelyn (Margerison) Helfrich, 80, of North Andover, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on Wednesday, July 28th, 2010.

She was born on October 5, 1929 in Methuen, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Walter and Anne (Berry) Margerison.
Evelyn was educated in the Methuen Schools and was a graduate of Edward F. Searleā€™s High School also in Methuen, MA

She attended Saint Michaels Church in North Andover and was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She worked for the Arlington Mills and was a Secretary and Assistant to her husband at Helfrich Brothers Boiler Works Inc. in Lawrence, Massachusetts. As of recent she worked with her sons helping them with the family business. Her main and most important job was raising 8 children and spending time with them and her 28 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She enjoyed Ceramics, Traveling, Seabrook Beach, Jackson, New Hampshire and an occasional boat ride. According to her family she loved to read and was very active at the Cedar Dale Athletic Club. Evelyn was a Private Pilot for many years at the 4-Star Aviation in North Andover at the Lawrence Airport.


Wife of the late Mr. Vincent P. Helfrich, Sr. who passed away in March of 1992.

As well as 28 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 31st, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Michael Church in North Andover, MA.

Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover, MA.
