DUDLEY – Mary P. (Deary) Paul, 53, died Monday, July 18, 2016 in UMass/Memorial University Campus, Worcester after being stricken ill.
She leaves her husband of 24 years, James L. Paul and her daughter, Catherine H. Paul, both of Dudley; a brother, Mark R. Deary and his wife Karen of Webster; two sisters, Jane E. Grochowski and her husband Tom of Webster and Catherine A. Deary of North Grafton; her in-laws, Wilfred “Tony” and Norma (Snay) Paul of Webster; her sister-in-law, Lori Krikorian and her husband Dave of Paxton; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, John Deary, Francis J. Deary III and Timothy Deary.
She was born and raised in Webster, daughter of the late Francis J. Deary, Jr. and Mary E. (Allen) Deary. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1981 and was a majorette in the school’s marching band. She had lived in Dudley since her marriage in 1992.
Mary first worked as a cashier at Thrifty’s Super Market. She then worked for Greater Media Cable in Webster, and was currently the senior director of the supply hub chain of Charter Communications in Worcester. She served the cable company for 35 years.
Mrs. Paul was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Webster and a member of its Ladies of Saint Anne. She was the cheerleading coach of Saint Anne’s Elementary School for 24 years. She had served on the parish council. She enjoyed crafts, making baskets and painting.
The funeral will be held Monday, July 25, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St., Webster. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, July 24, in the funeral home. Instead of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Mary P. Paul Memorial Fund for Catherine H.
