Obituary

Michael M. Albanese of Dedham, formerly of East Boston, a Combat Veteran of World War II, died September 28, 2007. He was 94 years old. He was the beloved husband of the late Ida T. (D’Addieco) Albanese.

Born in Boston, the son of the late Anthony and Maria (Fioredelisa) Albanese, he was a Dedham resident for several years. Prior to that Mr. Albanese had lived in East Boston for many years.

A Retired Captain in the United States Army, he served in combat during World War II. Mr. Albanese was also a Technical Artist for the Lincoln Laboratory of M.I.T.

He was the devoted father of Susan M. Fahey and her husband Henry of Dedham and the grandfather of Lauren J. Fahey of Dedham. He was the brother of Ann Crowley of Dedham and John Albanese of Saugus.

His funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Thursday at 8:00 AM with a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
