Manuel S. Ferreira, age 75 of Dighton, passed away Nov. 8, 2010. He was husband of Aldina (Medeiros) Ferreira and son of the late Adelino and Maria (Sousa) Ferreira. Manuel was a retired construction worker for De Ambra Construction. He played in Our Lady of Light Band, then with Conceicao Mosteiras, was a member of the Afonso Costa Republican Club and he was a member of Santo Christo Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 5 children: Marylou Albernaz of Berkley, Jose M. Ferreira of Fall River, Isadore Ferreira of Sao Miguel, Azores, Adelino and Paul Ferreira both of Fall River; 4 siblings: Isadore Ferreira and Maria Mello both of Fall River, Everett Ferreira of Dighton and Eduardina Catin of Somerset; 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. He was brother of the late Adelino Ferreira.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River FRIDAY at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Santo Christo Church, Columbia St. at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours THURSDAY 5-9 P.M.
