Jodi, Pete and Dillion, I knew Peter through Jim Riordan, Boston Rugby and he was my accountant. He was a true gentleman and professional, always willing to listen and give solid, sound advice. His memory will live on forever, for he was one of the "good guys" I hope you get through this time ease and remember all the good Peter had to offer. Shari, (Shaz)

Dear Jodi, Peter, Dillon … (and all of Peter’s beloved family), It is with deep regret and sadness … but with sincere gratitude to (Coach) Peter that we extend the following message on behalf of the “Parkway United” boys’ soccer team. Being a part of Peter’s team has proven to be a big part of the boys’ lives. It was their foundation in learning commitment, team spirit, hard work and fortitude and they have been enriched under Peter's guidance. For most, it was their first experience on a competitive team … the “core” teammates having begun with Peter from as young as 7 years old up through and including middle school. Each and every one of these boys remain high school athletes in their own right … The boys shared both personal and team success with Peter, as well as some heartache too. They learned a lot from Peter … and not just about “soccer”. There were many wonderful times … laughs … and hard work. Oh sure … occasionally … they weren’t always happy with what Coach had to say, but they respected him and wore their Parkway United shirts proudly! Some of the fond memories that come to mind now … include, but are not limited to, tournaments in the rain and mud, howling wind atop Millennium Park, lost minivans circling suburbia in search of secluded soccer fields, tailgating at Gillette Stadium for Revolution games, celebratory parties at the Kerr residence, and many more. Through good and bad, there was always a strong sense of “team spirit” and camaraderie. As extended soccer kin, we endured together through family births and deaths, sickness and health, First Holy Communions, school placement exam tests … and a variety of broken, sprained, bruised or twisted bones! They are bonds that we will cherish forever … and Peter’s memory will live on. Thank you Coach. May you rest in peace. “It’s not the years in your life that count, but the life in your years.” (Abraham Lincoln) Your Beloved Parkway United Team and Parents

What a great man! He is truly going to be missed. I have many fond memories of Peter and the BC Rugby team. Peter set the tone and raised the bar for teams that followed.

Jody and boys So sorry to hear of Peter's passing, yet so pleased that I was able to see him for my farewell drink just before Christmas as I took off heading West. Peter was part of the early fabric of my early times in Boston after arriving from the UK in the mid-1980's both on the field of combat together and "off the field". One of life's eternal regrets is that we often don't get to spend enough time with friends socially, particularly once families develop. Peter is one of those guys I would love to have spent more time with. Cindy and I send our deepest condolences for your loss and hope that you can in part rejoice in the part Peter played in all our lives. Nigel Gaymond and Cindy Clark

Our condolences and heartfelt sympathy for the loss of Peter. We will always remember him as a warm and gracious host when we met him while visiting with John and Michele on the Cape. I know he was a big Celtics fan and when I'm at the game tonight, I'll look up at the banners and say a prayer for him...God bless

I was shocked and saddened to learn that Peter passed away. Although I did not have the pleasure of knowing Peter on a very personal level, I did get to spend the evening of the 4th of July with him yearly. He assisted us with the activities and fun of lighting the fire works along with Jim and the rest of the gang that gathered on the shores of cape cod yearly.

Jodi, Peter and Dillon, sorry we are unable to attend Peter's services. Your husband, father and our friend and rugby mate will be sorely missed by all he has touched. In lieu of sending flowers we have sent a small donation to the BCRFC in memory of Peter, a thing we suspect Peter loved and supported, rather than the cancer institute. Love, Phillip & Kathee Ranelli

To the Peter Kerr Family - Please allow me to extend to you my deepest and heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Peter. I was priviledge to have coached him in football at Boston Latin School. I always have had a close bond with my former players and it is always tragic when they die so young. He and his family will be in my prayers. May he rest in peace and let perpetual light shine upon him.
