Obituary

Lincoln F. Watts Jr. of West Newton died on Tuesday Feb. 24, 2009 at the Maristhill Nursing Home in Waltham. He was 84.
Born and raised in Newton he graduated from Newton High School and served in the US Navy during WW II. He worked as a meat cutter for Star Market for over 30 years and was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Newton. He had also volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
Beloved husband for 61 years of Dorothy (Reid) Watts, he is survived by his sons Stewart W. and his wife Christina of Waltham, David L. and his wife Dorothea of Westford and Richard C. and his wife Judith of Dennis, his grandchildren Angela Galvin, Tanya, Melissa, Chad, Daniel and Ryan Watts, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sat Feb 28 at 10 AM in the United Methodist Church in Newton 430 Walnut St. Newtonville. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Fri 4-8 PM. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery.
