Anthony R. “Tony” Del Gaizo 78, of Needham died suddenly in Medford on Wednesday August 6th 2008. Born in Boston Tony grew up in Everett. He attended schools in Everett where played football for Everett High School. He later attended Boston University and served with the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955. For many years he was involved with sales and marketing at the Product Acceptance Company in Boston and later with the Wilshire Electronics in Burlington before he retired. Tony was an avid gardener and enjoyed working on his garden especially nurturing his tomatoes. He was the husband of Marguerite A. (Ross) Del Gaizo of Needham. Father of Anthony L. “Tony” Del Gaizo of Stoughton, Susan C. Jensen of Wilmington and Kathleen “Kathy’ Del Gaizo of Needham. Brother of Vera Milano of Stoneham, Anne Frances Coviello of Wakefield and the late Rose Chanley. Grandfather of Nicole, Michael, Erica, Courtney and Tori. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Saturday August 9th at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew Church Needham at 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-7 PM. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Needham Cemetery.
