Obituary

Mark J. Clair, of Dover died suddenly on Saturday, December 1st at his home. He was 51 years old. Born in Cambridge, Mark grew up in Weston. He was a graduate of Weston High School Class of 1974 and attended Babson College and Curry College. Along with his late father and his brothers, Mark ran the Clair International Motor Cars business in West Roxbury for many years. Mark was recently named Man of The Year by the Greater Boston Association for Retarded Citizens in recognition for his active fund raising and dedicated service. He was also very active in the Jack Devine Foundation in Dover and was a member of the George P. Preston Post #209 in Dover. Mark was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Walpole Chamber of Commerce. The beloved husband of Jane M. ( Darveau), he was the loving father of Jonathan E., Caroline A. and Colette A. all of Dover. Dear son of Theresa (Walton) Clair of Weston and the late James "Ernie" Clair. Brother of James E. Clair Jr. and his wife Claire of Dover, Mary T. Clair of Weymouth, Joseph P. Clair and his wife Laurie of Medfield and Michael S. Clair and his Wife Cornelia of Biddeford, ME. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of Most Precious Blood, 30 Center St. in Dover on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours at The Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Tuesday 4-8 and Wednesday 4-8.Interment will take place at the Highland Cemetery in Dover.
