Francesca “Elaine” (Smith) Horton a retired bank teller and Needham resident for over 40 years died on Saturday, November 10th at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was 70 years old. Born in Hardwick, VT, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Francesca (Heath) Smith. Mrs. Horton was a retired ban teller for Bank of America and had been a teller for over 30 years. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. The beloved wife of the late Paul C. Horton, she was the loving mother of Kimberly F. Koepfler and her husband James of Attleboro, Leslie Anne Horton of Keene, NH, and Suzanne C. Horton of Needham. Sister of Arthur Smith of Atkinson, NH, John Smith of Lake Dallas, Texas, Bert Smith of Hardwick, VT and Naples, Fl and the late David Smith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church, 9 Glen Rd. Wellesley on Saturday December 1st at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
