Sances, Constance "Connie" M.( FitzGerald) of Hingham, died on Thursday, April 29, 2010. The beloved wife of the late John J. Sances. Loving mother of Kathryn Ellis and her husband Ron Pike, John J. Sances, Jr. and his wife Robbin Henderson all of CA, Constance "Connie" and her husband Arthur Melia, Jr, of Hingham, Christopher M. Sances and his wife Skye Carey of CA, Kenneth M. Sances and his wife Theresa of NC and Mary Keller and her husband Charles of AZ. Sister of Ruth Rugg of Quincy, Miriam MacKenzie of Mansfield, Robert FitzGerald of ME and the late Ann O'Sullivan , Mark & Henry FitzGerald. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Connie grew up in Rockland and graduated from Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in the maternity ward at Quincy City Hospital for more than 35 years, retiring back in 1979. Connie was a skilled nurse who was devoted to her nursing career. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and baking. She took great pride in her home. A devout catholic, she truly loved to take care of her family. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday 4-8pm in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, May 1 at 12:30pm prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Paul's Church at 1:30 PM.
Burial will be at a later date.
