Obituary

Bernadette B. (Bouthilette) Crook, 94, of New Bedford died May 22, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Clarence Crook.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Mastai and Roseanna (St. Laurent) Bouthilette, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Crook was a communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church.
She was formerly employed as a waitress at the New Bedford Hotel and Meiling's Restaurant.
Memere enjoyed spending time with her family. "Boots", as she was known to her friends, enjoyed their company at the beach.
Survivors include 3 sons, Thomas Crook and his wife Mary of Monument Beach, James Crook and his wife Karole of Norwell, and George Crook and his wife Elaine of New Bedford; 8 grandchildren, Cathryn Green and Paula Benone, both of California, Michelle Laliberte of East Bridgewater, Richard Laliberte of Bridgewater, Michael Laliberte of Halifax, Matthew Crook of Cambridge, Andrea (Crook) Hopps of South Dartmouth and Susan Crook of Pocasset; 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Judith Laliberte.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Tuesday, May 26th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday, May 25th from 4-8 PM.
