Obituary

East Bridgewater – Anne (Kenneally) Hynes 78, a life long resident of East Bridgewater, died Friday February 11 after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late James A. Hynes.

Born in Brockton and raised in East Bridgewater she was the daughter of the late John F. and Louanna (Davies) Kenneally and a graduate of East Bridgewater High.

Anne attended Bridgewater State College where she earned her Bachelors’ Degree in education. She had been an English teacher in both Brockton and East Bridgewater schools, and before her retirement she had been the librarian at East Bridgewater High School for 47 years.

Anne enjoyed dining out with her family and many friends, but will be remembered by all who knew her for her kind and giving ways.

She is survived by her brother John F. Kenneally, and her sister Mary Lou Heath both of East Bridgewater and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was the sister of the late Edmond J. Kenneally.

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday February 15 at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a mass at 9 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Visiting hours will be held Monday February 14 from 2-6 PM.
