Obituary

Jeffrey L. Robinson, 47, of Rochester died suddenly on Thursday January 27, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret C. (Taylor) Robinson.

Born in Springfield, the son of Frederick Robinson of Pittsfield, NH and the late Bonnie (Larson) Robinson, he was raised in East Longmeadow and had lived in Rochester for the past 13 years.

Mr. Robinson was currently employed as the finance director of the North Providence School District. He had previously worked as the controller at UMass Dartmouth and the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He also had been the owner and founder of Langdon Farms in Mattapoisett.

He was a member of the Southeastern Massachusetts Agricultural Partnership and served on the Finance Committee of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

He was a graduate of East Longmeadow High School. He received his Bachelor's degree from Salem State College and his Master's degree from Bridgewater State College.

He was an avid fisherman and gardener and a passionate New England Patriots fan.

Survivors include his wife and father; three children, Maggie, Abby, and Joseph; two sisters, Susan Merritt of Milton and Joy Stacy of Norwood; and his mother-in-law, Margaret Taylor of Mattapoisett.

He was the brother of the late Scott Robinson.

His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM.
