Josephine C. (Ferranti) Krakofsky, a longtime resident of Charlestown, passed from her earthly existence to be reunited with her beloved husband, the late Aloysius "Buddy" Krakofsky on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a lengthy illness. She was 84 years old.
Josie was born in Boston on June 10, 1926 to the late Gioviani and Rosina (Fuschi) Ferranti. Josie worked for many years as a clerk at Mike's Donuts of Everett.
Josie is the devoted mother of Frances MacPherson of Charlestown, Linda Rea and her husband Donald of Tewksbury, Michael Krakofsky and his wife Florence of Wilmington and Lisa McCrae and her husband John of Saugus. She is the cherished and loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Eleanor Fiamma of Charlestown and the late Joseph and John Ferranti. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for Josie on Monday, January 10, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by her Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
